Kirby's Dream Land 2 DX GBC Video Game Catridge Gameboy Color 1995
$14.99
Gameboy non oem reproduction Kirby's Dream Land 2 DX video game cartridge. Game cartridge comes with a plastic protective case.
This is an extensive hack of Kirby’s Dream Land 2, fully colorizing every visual asset of the game while also enhancing the overall experience.
Key Features of the DX Hack
- Full Colorization: Every visual asset—including backgrounds, tilesets, and character sprites—has been meticulously colorized to take full advantage of the Game Boy Color's hardware. The palette draws inspiration from Kirby's Adventure and the original Super Game Boy palettes.
- Lag Elimination: The hack activates the Game Boy Color’s double-speed hardware mode, removing virtually all performance slowdowns and lag present in the original Game Boy release.
- Visual Polish: It incorporates enhanced hardware details like smoother screen-fade transitions and dynamic color animations. For instance, Kirby's health bar shifts from yellow to red when he is down to his last unit of health, and the entire interface UI adapts its palette depending on which Animal Friend you partner with.
- New Settings Menu: Players can access a brand-new in-game configuration menu to change the status bar color, toggle status bar animations, or control whether an Animal Friend's companion music overrides the standard level background tracks.
The Rainbow Bridges connecting the seven Rainbow Islands have vanished. Kirby must solve the mystery and battle King Dedede, who has been possessed by a mysterious evil force known as Dark Matter.
- Animal Buddies: For the first time, Kirby can team up with three new friends—Rick the Hamster (fast on land), Coo the Owl (soars through winds), and Kine the Sunfish (masters underwater currents).
- Power Combinations: Kirby can inhale enemies to gain Copy Abilities like Spark, Cutter, and Stone. When riding a friend, these abilities transform into unique "combo" attacks, offering 28 total power variations.
- Massive Exploration: Journey across seven islands, including Grass Land and Cloudy Park, to find hidden Rainbow Drops required to unlock the true final battle.
- Super Game Boy Support: When played on an SNES via the Super Game Boy, the game features a custom illustrated border and a colorized palette for each world.
