This modernized Walthers Cornerstone 933-4119 Hardware and Lumber Store makes a great addition to HO trackside scenes in the city or the country. It represents the kind of lumber yard operation that expanded to sell hardware, tools and household items, with many examples still in business today, and fits small-town or city scenes from the 1970s to the present. The retail store and lumberyard come together in one complete kit for excellent value.
The 933-4119 includes a Main Building, Lumber Shed, eight Pallet Racks, 10 Lumber Stacks, a Street Sign and accessories. The Main Building has a detailed wood front and an overhead garden center rear door, while the Pallet Racks can be built as six singles or four doubles with wire decking. Optional clear exterior lights can be lit from behind, with lighting sold separately, and separate rooftop details include an air conditioner, trash cans, a propane locker and gas and electric meters. Molded in seven colors plus clear plastic, the Main Building measures 8-7/8 x 9-15/16 x 2-13/16" (22.5 x 25.2 x 7.1cm) and the Lumber Shed measures 9-3/4 x 4-1/2 x 2-3/4" (24.7 x 11.4 x 6.9cm).
